  • TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Technology Transfer work involves the transfer of products developed by ourselves in World Medicine to large-scale commercial production, their standardization at lower cost with the process improvement, and the enhancement of product quality.

Products developed at World Medicine are transferred from the World Medicine facility in Istanbul to the production facilities in Cerkezkoy as well as in Algeria and Romania, as well as the foreign facilities where there is a strategic marketing partnership.

In the global pharmaceutical market, Turkey is increasing its momentum, especially in the field of pharmaceutical exports when compared to other countries in the region. Stepping up its exports and investments in 2021, World Medicine succeeded in becoming the number one in the field of pharmaceutical exports and, in line with its goal of reaching the top, recently opened the World Medicine Cerkezkoy facility, of the most innovative drug production facilities in Turkey, located in the the Cerkezkoy Organized Industrial Zone. The facility is able to produce sold, semi-solid, sterile, non-sterile, lyophilized and liquid forms with state-of-the-art equipment, and aims to always remain competitive in the world market in terms of drug pricing by increasing the serial length of the products developed.

Products earmarked for transfer between the production facilities during the Technology Transfer processes are transferred by specialized staff who possess extensive knowledge and information in their field. During this process, they act in coordination with the relevant production facility and draw up technology transfer plans between the production facilities on a project basis.

Following the analytical method transfers of the products, agreement is ensured between facilities depending on the definition of the process, flow chart and batch size. After the gap and risk analysis of the products which will be transferred, critical process parameters (CPP) and critical quality attributes (CQA) are identified for the facility, where the transfer is performed, according to the ICH Q8 (R2) standard. Following the changes made to the transfer of the product, a qualified target product profile (QTPP) is provided and documented.

The Technology Transfer department fulfills the responsibilities they take on and continue their valuable work and continue to provide added value to the company.
